YWCA GREATER FLINT MISSION

THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES, WE WORK TO ELIMINATE RACISM, EMPOWER WOMEN AND PROMOTE PEACE, JUSTICE, FREEDOM, AND DIGNITY FOR ALL.

Created by women for women, the YWCA is the oldest and largest multicultural women's organization in the world.  Locally, the YWCA Greater Flint has been serving the Flint and Genesee community since 1908.  We have been a place of hope, healing and renewal.  Serving 2,600 annually, the YWCA Greater Flint has offered safe places for women and children, while also advocating for race and gender equity.  Across the globe, we have more than 25 million members in 122 countries, including 2 million members in 300 local associations in the United States.
